Day 3 – Last Day in Lisbon

Today was hot but relaxing. Once we all got up, it was already 11:30 in Europe and 6:30 in Massachusetts. We got dressed, and I put on my black romper. Then, we waited around, and I had fruit, meat, and a couple bites of a fancy donut for breakfast. Then we walked to the start of the hop-on hop-off bus tour and rode the bus for about an hour, getting excellent views.

Next, I went to have lunch in a fancy restaurant called Pastel d e Belém and tried some pastries I had never tried. I also had another pasteis de nata, which tasted way better than any pasteis de nata I had before. In addition, I had a delicious codfish croquette and a strawberry milkshake that I didn’t like that much. The milkshake tasted a lot like expired milk which, if you have ever accidentally had expired milk, tasted not that good.

After we finished our food, I bought a black bucket hat that matched my romper.

We then walked to the Jerónimos Monastery, and it was pretty hot outside. It was built in the 1500s, and Vasco da Gama is buried there. I saw many colorful stained glass windows in the monastery, cool ceiling designs, fancy pillars, and many stone sculptures.

After we went to the monastery, we rode the hop-on hop-off bus again to go to a pride celebration, and got ice cream and crepes. I got caramel. I also got an “I <3 my moms” pin.

After pride, we took an Uber for approximately 30 seconds (which was not worth it) to a place close to our Airbnb. Then we went home, had showers, brushed our teeth, and went to bed.
