A Blog by Any Other Name…
After a lot of thought and consideration, we have made the move to a new blog name! It was not an easy switch – I had to move everything over to a new domain name, and although WordPress allows you to import and export posts, the transition wasn’t 100% perfect. I am still working out some kinks, but welcome to the new home of Jen & Kendra – Adventurous Moms!
Picking the name wasn’t too hard – I wanted to broaden our appeal, and make it less personal. I knew I wanted the word “Adventure” in the title. I tried a few combinations, originally opting for “Adventure Moms,” because I thought it made us sound like superheros. Unfortunately, the domain is owned by a company who wanted almost $700 for this “premium” web name. Lame. I was unimpressed with them. Luckily, adventurousmoms.blog was open, so we have become Adventurous Moms! It works well, because we ARE two moms, so it still applies personally, and it has a broader appeal to all those adventurous moms out there in the blogoshpere!
Redesigning the site has been a bit more complicated than I originally intended, but I am making quick progress. There are still quite a few adjustments that need to be made, but the site is functional. I have even made a Facebook Page for us, so please feel free to like us there 🙂
Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Pablo from Family Wilds, and Melissa from Adventuroo for their feedback and suggestions. Melissa runs another blog, momcomm, which has tremendous advice and information for blogging moms. I found her tips incredibly useful, and it was this page that inspired me to make the move to a new name, and wider appeal.

WOW!! Jen you pics are amazing. Of course I am bias but it seems like my sis and sister-in-law have to have some award for the best mom’s EVER!! You are supermoms in our eyes!
