It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas…

Last night, Kendra arrived home at almost 11pm after her second wave of Black Friday shopping. Though I was once convinced to go with her on her crazy post-Thanksgiving jaunts, Addie provides me the perfect excuse to skip out on the craziness. Unfortunately, this pass does not include wrapping gifts, which is what Kendra had in mind to do when she arrived home laden with bags of gifts. By 1am, she’d wrapped all the gifts we are giving and started putting up the tree. I drew the line and we went to sleep.

Addie and Mama setting up the Christmas treeThis morning, after breakfast at the Good Day Cafe, we finished putting up the tree. Addie even helped! Decorating was put on hold while we went to our town’s Christmas Parade. It seemed a bit early to me, but given that it was 63 degrees out, I didn’t mind. We put Addison in her stroller and headed down to Main Street. The good weather definitely helped to draw a huge crowd.

Addie fell asleep on the walk home, and we finished decorating. Amazing – two days ago we were celebrating Thanksgiving and overnight it’s Christmas! Too early? Maybe… but the tree looks beautiful!

Hahaha very nice! My family is putting up the outside lights soon but we aren’t getting the tree for a couple weeks.
