Wicklow, Ireland – Day 3!

Hey, hi, how are ya! It’s V (or Vee if you are Jendra). It’s day three in Ireland, and we are smashing it! This morning, I was the first person up! Very rare because I am usually the last. The family got up and moving after JB (Jen) made us scrambled eggs. We started off with a hike on the Blahblah trail and took pictures of the Guinness Lake (Lough Tay). We went all the way up the mountain, and then Kate got an allergic reaction from the grass, and then this nice lady gave us a home remedy potion that cleared Kate’s rash up straight away, and THEN we got to see the SHEPS who went BAHHHH BAHHHHHH. Kendra scared them away.

Alright, so now, we are driving down this curvy, steep mountain, and brooo, JB was eating it up. Stick shift and left side of the road! I literally would’ve puked if I had to do that. ANYWAY, we finally arrived at Wicklow Heather and had a divine lunch. Think of Harry Potter’s dining hall but with iconic framed pictures on the ceilings and fairy lights.

Post-lunch, we went to see the monastic ruins at Glendalough, watched a film about the monastic history of Ireland, saw the tower where St. Kevin’s people had to ring a bell from a huge tower three times a day, and paid some respects to the souls of the graveyard.

They then had ice cream. I did not because there was only soft serve, and after tasting brown bread ice cream yesterday with Maura, I truly cannot stomach the thought of any other dairy dessert. Jen stick-shifted us to Powerscourt Waterfall, and we climbed up some slippery rocks and took pictures that will definitely make a feature on my Instagram highlights.

We went to the market and got some groceries to eat for dinner, and now I am writing this blog. Okay, I’m going to rot in bed now on TikTok, BYEEEEE-UHHHHH.

Like V’s voice. So happy she is along. Impressive left handed stick shift and left side driving Jen.
