Day 11 – Seville, Spain

Today was more of a resting day than a walking day. Mom woke me up early in the morning to have breakfast. I had another croissant, a strawberry yogurt drink, and some fruit for breakfast. Then, my family and I went outside to look at more of Seville. We saw so many bright green parrots flying through the trees. It was amazing!

The first place we went to was the Plaza de España. It was built for the the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. The colors there were very vibrant, and Plaza de España looked like a castle of some sort. We walked all around and listened to some amazing musicians. Evan bought some castanets.

Once we finished exploring Plaza de Espania, we rode a horse-drawn carriage. The driver gave us a tour of some of Seville throughout the ride.

When the ride was over, we went home for lunch. But on the way, Priscilla took Addie and me to a jewelry store, and I bought two rings. Mama made me a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch, and I had some flan for dessert. Once lunch was over, we took a siesta!

After our siesta, we went to the Museum of Illusions. My sister and brother made me go into a spinning optical illusion that made me feel like I was spinning upside down. I did not like it because I am afraid of going upside down. I really liked the infinity room which was a room shaped liked an hexagon covered in mirrors. It made it look like there were infinite mes!

By the time we were done, everyone was very hungry so we went to dinner. I had a cheeseburger and fries and a delicious chocolate-y dessert.

I showered and I am ready for tomorrow–sort of.

Katelyn, I like very much of your description of the illusions, and how you felt. What a jampacked day you had of great memories.
