Sledding at Carter Hill, North Andover, MA
My niece Jada has never been sledding. Granted, she was born in Grenada, and has spent the last ten years living in North Carolina, so I suppose she has a good excuse. But STILL! As her aunt, I felt it was my responsibility to give her a taste of New England winter fun while she was visiting us this past weekend, so I took her, Addie, and Addie’s BFF Elizabeth for a morning of trudging up and flying down Carter Hill in North Andover.
I couldn’t help but make a few runs myself. I was a bit worried, since these days I get nauseated when I swing too high on the swing set, or roll down a hill (getting old is hard!), but it was awesome! Not to mention, a great way to have fun outdoors, and boy was it a workout. When we got back into the car, Jada just looked at me and sighed, “my legs are soooo tired.”
The girls had a blast, the runs were super fun and fast, the weather was great, and I fulfilled my auntly duties. What more could you ask for? I even got some video of the fun!
