The Silver Bean

As we drove out of Mesa Verde today, Kendra caught site of the coolest coffee shop we’ve ever seen! Located in Cortez, Colorado, the Silver Bean is housed in a vintage Airstream trailer.

We HAD to stop! Inside was impressive – in addition to the barista area, there was seating for customers!

We chatted with a very nice woman while we waited for our order. I was very impressed with all of the photos plastering the inside walls. They ranged from pictures of the Airstream when it was being used to travel the country by family members of the current owner.

The range of menu items was impressive; everything you’d expect from Starbucks, with local influences as well, like breakfast burritos. I had a cappuccino, and it was, by far, the best I have ever had. Kendra was equally impressed with her iced coffee. If you are anywhere near Cortez, this place is a must visit!
