Redwood City and a Wedding!

Buck's of Woodside in CA.Kendra decided we should go out to eat for breakfast this morning, so Jen took us to Buck’s of Woodside. Located in an unassuming cluster of shops, the interior was completely unexpected. Nostalgia lined the walls and ceiling. The food was excellent – Kendra and Jen (that looks weird when I am not the Jen being referenced) had french toast made with flaky croissants while I had a feta, avocado and spinach omelet with a side of home fries. The downsides – the waitress was not very friendly, and the price was high. I don’t mind paying $3 for my grande cappuccino at Starbucks, but it’s ridiculous for a cup of coffee in a diner. I am going to chalk it up to California being more expensive…

In the afternoon, we left Addison with a very brave and awesome Jen, and went to Sonoma for Allison’s wedding. (She’s one of Kendra’s college teammates.) It was beautiful! Allison and Doug were married at Oak Hill Farm, and the reception was in this gorgeous old barn. Her sister gave one of the best wedding toasts I have ever heard – Kendra and I were both in tears! The food was great, the people were friendly, and we are both so happy for the beautiful couple!
